THE 2025 CHRISTMAS RAFFLE IS UNDERWAY

For those of you that don't know about Hanover Homeless Project we are a very small team of volunteers that supply Starter Packs to homeless people moving into their new home in the Brighton & Hove area. We get requests from Brighton Housing Trust, Victim Support, RISE, Brighton and Hove Council and the YMCA amongst others. Our packs contain bedding, towels, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery etc. and they cost us close to £100 each. This year we have supplied 46 packs so far and the money that enables us to do this is largely raised from our raffle so every ticket you purchase helps to change someone's life.

Tickets are just £1 each and the draw takes place on Sunday 21st December.

If you would like to buy tickets, or to donate a prize, please leave a comment on our Facebook page and one of the team, will get back to you.

WHAT IS HOMELESSNESS?

Homelessness means not having a home. You are homeless if you have nowhere to stay and are living on the streets, but you can be homeless even if you have a roof over your head.

You count as homeless if you are:

  • staying with friends or family

  • staying in a hostel, night shelter or B&B

  • squatting

  • at risk of violence or abuse in your home

  • living in poor conditions that affect your health

  • living apart from your family because you don't have a place to live together
